if you haven't been to Don Quixote or never heard of this famous grocery store, you are definitely missing out. I've been to the grocery store when it was named Daiei before the name was changed to Don Quixote. Because this location closer to me since I'm live in town, it is way busier since it is central to Hawaii Convention Center, Ala Moana Shopping Center, and Waikiki. Store is massive, but not as massive as the Mega Don Quixote locations in Japan. Fresh fish, bentos, Japanese sushi and varieties okazuya selection. Choices are endless, it is so easy to indecisive and stay here more than 1 hour. There are also a variety of small take out restaurants outside of the store in case nothing is appetizing at Don Quixote. Parking can be difficult if you come during mid morning, lunch time rush, or after work time. Parking is either in front of store or their 2 level parking structure, or street parking.

DON DON DON DONKIII Had to visit the only locations outside of Asia here on the island and it did not disappoint! This store is pretty big and has just about everything, plus it's all reasonably priced!! Good place to stock up on snacks, chocolates, and li hing candies! Aside from grocery store items, they have ready to eat foods including bento plates, bowls, sushi, and there is also a small food court area right outside the store with plenty of seating. My expectations for grocery store sushi are usually really low, so I was so surprised that the ones here tasted really fresh and buttery! Highly recommend the bluefin chutoro or otoro!

I'm not sure when or if the Donki will ever open in Kapolei. Until then, this location beats the others in Waipahu and Pearl City. While the others also have food outlets, they can't compare to the Kaheka location. And not only are there many varied eateries but also top notch ones. And they seem 'current' like the inari bombs. And although they have a bakery (two if you include the one inside the store) it's not the "hip" ones from Taiwan or Korea. I went around lunch time and thought parking might be a problem. But it wasn't. There was actually plenty of parking in the front of the store. That's because people were always leaving so spots open up often. Prices are reasonable. And there is a good selection of Japanese goods. Almost like being in Japan. In fact the signs using their mascot is the same as in Japan.

Absolutely love Don Quijote! Whether you need some snacks, grab and go food, household supplies or souvenirs, this place has it all! It's your one stop shop for everything and anything you need. This store is popular in Japan and they have a few locations here in Oahu. This location is in Honolulu near Ala Moana. There's a huge sushi & bento area if you are looking for food. Parking is free in the big lot in front of the store. I would definitely recommend this place to other people!

I've been shopping here for over 10yrs and I love it over here always good selections of food always have the best customer service, the employees has always shown me the aloha spirit but today I had to come on here to appreciate the young man in there checkout, it looked like he was working by himself I usually see more than one employee in there but today I saw him by himself, and I've seen him almost every day I come here he looked like a Hard working young man, but had these two couples yelling at him giving him attitude and he ignored them at first but once they left, they gave him the most rudest attitude and comments, I appreciate this young man helping us and having to deal with people like that, I'm glad he stood up for himself and didn't let them just walk over him, people need to show some aloha for these employees.

I came a little later in the evening around 8pm to check the place out. I love that they're open late. You could spend forever in the store exploring everything. Unfortunately, all of the food stalls directly in front of the store were already closed. I saw that some food items were discounted inside the market where the all the deli & food items were, so decided on a poke bowl & a hotate nigiri. I didn't like the poke bowl at all. The ahi wasn't seasoned well, barely any sauce on it. I really enjoyed the hotate though, it was so delish. I would definitely get it again at such a good discounted price! I will come back to try other stuff, but leaving it with one star off for the poor poke.

Don Quixote I'll abbreviate it to DQ (DONQ), after uplifting their store with bright lights and my favorite is the women's up to date affordable make-up from Japan. I lived at n Tokyo for r several years, my wish to bring in more make-up like glittery eyeshadows by all the affordable brands sold in all make-up corner shops in Japan! My greatest surprise was seeing a bar soap am import from the Philippines! I sincerely hope they add more imports from Asia especially Korea where they have the unique ideas of their packaging strategy. My only disappointment they have discontinued the Mens hair gel in tubes that goes very well. I hope they expand more Mens hairstylinCosmectics as well! You

I visit this Donki frequently and enjoy the selection they have. They have extremely trendy drinks, food, and beauty products in Japan in stock! I'm actually so surprised by the new things they bring in. They recently started carrying the viral &honey hair products that have been trending on social media. They're also extremely popular in Japan right now. Donki does an amazing job of providing Japanese goods, and I'll always keep going here. Their fresh food is also amazing quality, and I regularly get sushi from here!

After enjoying my friend's reunion brunch, our friends asked me to drive here on our way back to their hotel. Driving there was a challenge with an emergency that prompted four police cars and traffic being stopped at Kapiolani near Kalakaua for a couple minutes. When we reached the parking lot here, I pulled into the parking lot which was filled with several cars driving around looking for an available space. Seeing a cluster of cars not moving in the center, I headed to the furthest aisle and made a turn to the next aisle in waiting for a departing customer's space. It's probably been about eight or nine years since I've walked into the market and, boy oh boy, what a change and difference. My 1st reaction was how it reminded me of Wal Mart, both in the variety of products and mainly the size of the store. My first stop was the toy department, check that, Japanese toy section.
